A frequent invited speaker at courses, conferences and symposia in his field of specialisation, Musculoskeletal, Rheumatological and Sports Radiology, he has, in recent years, increasingly extended his contributions to digital health, technological innovation and the future of medicine.

As an example, in 2022/2023:

At the FutureMD Congress (photo above - 2022), on the impact of Technology in Medicine. Márcio Navalho provided a detailed analysis, starting from where we are and exploring the main trends for the future in the theme.

In Portugal Healthcare Innovation Summit 2022, he discussed the present and future of Digitalisation in Health, namely Teleradiology, and also Education and Research in new Technologies.

At the Changing Landscape of Medical Education (2023) conference, he presented his perspective on how technology is revolutionising the way medical knowledge is acquired, disseminated and applied.

At Health & Technology – What is the common ground?, (2023) he explored the role of technological advances in treating diseases of today and the future.

In his opinion article The Future of Healthcare is Digital (2023) published in the Portuguese newspaper Diário de Notícias, Márcio Navalho explored the impact of digital transformation on medicine, anticipating the evolution of healthcare while emphasising the importance of preserving the doctor–patient relationship and keeping people at the centre of care.

In the article Teleradiology – Innovation at the Service of Healthcare (2025) published in the Portuguese newspaper O MIRANTE, he discussed the role of teleradiology in improving access to subspecialised radiologists and enhancing the quality of healthcare.
